What is a .MUSIC ID?
A .MUSIC ID is your VERIFIED IDENTITY – your .MUSIC passport. Your .MUSIC ID is what grants you access to your SmartPage and other music related services we will be introducing later. When you get your .MUSIC ID you will receive a SmartBadge: a digital identity calling card.
What is a SmartPage?
This is your verified, branded content page where fans can engage.
How is a .MUSIC domain different from other domains?
The .MUSIC domain is exclusively for the global music community and industry. Users must meet verification requirements to use their .MUSIC domain.
Why do I need to get verified?
The .MUSIC domain name is for the global music community and its members. Verification protects the community from fraud and unwanted malicious behavior.
Is verification an extra cost to me?
No. Your verification is included in your .MUSIC domain registration fee of $65/year.
What happens if I don’t get verified?
Your submitted domain name will remain locked until you have completed your verification process.
What is the MusicHub?
The Music Hub is a set of services that is only available within the .MUSIC network and accessed by your MusicID. It is a free offering you get when you register your .MUSIC domain and get verified. We will provide additional details and examples in an upcoming newsletter exclusively discussing this feature.
How do I get my .MUSIC domain?
If you belong to a music community member organization like All Access Enterprises (if you got this email, you already belong!), you will be able to participate during our Community Phase by reserving your domain name before the General Availability (GA) period. GA will be a first come, first serve model for all music community members. Our Community Phase gives you advanced priority before the GA period.
