Entertainment Attorneys – Allworks Media, in partnership with Joel Denver’s All Access Enterprises, is an authorized Music Community Member Organization (MCMO) of my.MUSIC. They are the registrar for the top level domain .MUSIC which is scheduled to be launched for global General Availability (GA) at the end of June 2024.
Trademark Clearing House
The Sunrise period (Aug 2023-Nov 2023) enabled members of the Trademark Clearing House and Entertainment Attorneys to make their advanced purchases. This included many of the Fortune 5000 companies that operate within the music industry. Companies securing their .Music domains include Apple.music, Microsoft.music, Spotify.music, iHeart.music, UMG.music etc. Plus many the top tier artists like TaylorSwift.music, Madonna.music, etc.
The Music Community phase is now open and will close at the end of May 2024. If your law firm represents an artist, band, or music related business (record label, promotion, distribution, publisher, recording studio, etc.), you now have the opportunity to secure your client’s .MUSIC domain prior to GA.
Prevent Fraud
To prevent fraud, all submissions by Entertainment Attorneys are followed up with a verification process to assure that the actual entity is the one to receive the .MUSIC domain. Once approved, a token will be emailed providing the approved entity (or representative) the ability to purchase and secure their domain prior to GA. This advanced pre-registration courtesy will also help minimize conflict and arbitration.
Once GA begins, the offer will be on a first come, first served basis. Pre-registration is free and if you are responsible for protecting your clients’ IP, I strongly advise you to proceed now. Once approved, the offer to purchase the domain with the provided token will be $65/year. Like other top level domains (TLD), multi-year options will also be provided.
